Mooresville, NC -
The Detroit Speed 1969 and 1970 Camaro Test Cars had a great
showing at the Motorstate Challenge this past weekend at
Watervliet, MI.
The events scheduled for the weekend included a cruise
through Harbor Country and along the coast of Lake Michigan,
a cookout at Silver Beach, road racing at Gingerman Raceway
in South Haven, MI on Saturday, and a timed autocross event
on Sunday.
Kyle & Stacy Tucker (co-owners of Detroit Speed) were there
along with DSE engineer, Ryan Mathews, driving the Detroit
Speed Camaro Test Cars all weekend long.
The 1969 Camaro Test Car driven by Ryan Mathews was the
unofficial winner of the top overall Car by accumulating the
most points on the Road Course Hot Laps and the timed
Autocross laps. Kyle Tucker, driving the 1970 Camaro had the
second fastest lap in the Autocross narrowly missing out to
David Pozzi by about 1/100 of a second.
Congratulations to all the winners in each event. It was
wonderful to see everybody driving their cars hard during
the weekend. Thanks again to Lane Automotive for hosting
this wonderful event.
