Mooresville, NC - Detroit Speed and the 1970 DSE Test
Car was honored to receive the "King of the Hill" award at
this years Run Through the Hills hosted by Pro-Touring.com.
The "King of the Hill" award is a compilation of scores from
the Run Through the Hills, the autocross, the 1/8 mile Drag
strip, and overall fit & finish. Kyle won the autocross in
the 1970 Camaro which was a big boost in helping him earn
enough points for the overall "King of the Hill" award. Not
to be forgotten was the 1969 DSE Test Car which scored a top
5 in the Autocross as well.
Other award winners were Air Ride Technologies, which
captured the Drag strip
1/8 mile victory and
Vinnie
Allegretta
with his 1968 Camaro won for
best fit & finish.
This is a wonderful event that it geared to the Pro-Touring
crowd. Friday night is exactly what it is described as, a
"Run Through the Hills" where participants cruise their
rides through the Smoky Mountains. Saturday was the
autocross that featured many different make and models and
was a huge success. Sunday was the 1/8 drag where people got
to really let loose and see how their car performed.
This is a great event put on by Pro-Touring.com and
MuscleRides.com. We enjoyed
seeing all the people and their cars and hope to be back
next year!
