Mooresville, NC - Before the DSE 1969 Camaro Test Car
ran a single lap on the Autocross track, it got a bit of a
warm-up as Kyle and Stacy Tucker drove the Camaro from
Mooresville, NC to the Pocono Raceway 550 miles away. This
is just another way to test the DSE suspension parts with a
nice cruise through the countryside.
Both DSE Test Cars participated in
the Vendor Autocross at Pocono Raceway this weekend at
Goodguys Pocono, but this one was a little different.
Instead of battling it out with the other Vendors for the
Vendor Autocross Champion Trophy DSE demonstrated the
ability of their suspension parts for anybody who was
willing to buckle up and take the ride.
Due to the inclement weather most of the weekend which
sidelined timed runs, DSE ran
over 50 un-timed exhibition laps for show participants
throughout the afternoon on Saturday when the weather
subsided for a few hours. Along with DSE, Air-Ride gave
exhibition runs in their Nova while Pro Rides took people
around the track in their 1969 Camaro.
DSE took pride in being able to show first-hand the quality
and drivability of their suspension parts to eager show
participants.
And in other show news, Stacy Tucker's 1969 Camaro Test Car
was chosen as the Goodguys Gazette Pick by Brandon from
Goodguys. Not only did Brandon like the look of the car, he also really enjoyed the back story and history of the
car. That went a long way to him selecting the Camaro. Look
for a feature story on Stacy Tucker's Camaro in the Goodguys
Gazette soon.
George Myrter's
1972 Chevelle Chosen as a Muscle Machine of the
Year Finalist
George Myrter's 1972 572 GM Big Block Chevelle built by Pro
Rides was chosen as a finalist in the
Goodguys Muscle Machine of the Year competition sponsored by
Detroit Speed. DSE would like to congratulate George and
wish him luck in the finals.
The Goodguys Muscle Machine Award is handed out to one car
at select Goodguys shows. After all of the finalist's are
named the winner will be chosen at the end of the Goodguys
season and will be awarded the Muscle Machine of the Year
award. |
