Detroit Speed Redefines Performance at SEMA Show 2025
Table of Contents
The lights of Las Vegas might fade after the SEMA Show, but the buzz from Detroit Speed’s return is still echoing through the halls. From new product launches to award-winning innovation, this year was proof that DSE isn’t just building parts - we’re engineering better ways to drive.
The Booth That Brought the Heat
At the heart of SEMA 2025, our crew set up shop in Booth #21263, where the phrase “built to perform” took physical form. The centerpiece? A full display of DSE’s engineering legacy - from our signature Hydroformed Subframe that started it all, to our latest innovations that continue to redefine what’s possible for muscle car handling.
Our team walked attendees through DSE geometry, installation precision, and what truly separates DSE suspension from the rest. Cameras flashed, conversations flowed, and by week’s end, our booth became a must-stop destination for anyone serious about performance and craftsmanship.

Award-Winning Innovation
The spotlight moment came early in the week when DSE took home the SEMA New Product Award for Best Performance – Street Product with our all-new Foxbody SLA (Short-Long-Arm) Front Suspension System.
Designed for the 1979–93 Mustang and Capri platforms, this system replaces the outdated MacPherson strut design with a modern double-wishbone geometry - offering sharper turn-in, optimized camber gain, and compatibility with late-model S550 Mustang brakes. The system also allows for up to a 275/35R18 tire on a 10-inch wheel at full steering lock, giving Foxbody enthusiasts the stance, grip, and precision they’ve always wanted.
This award doesn’t just celebrate a product; it validates years of engineering, testing, and passion for reimagining platforms once thought to be limited.

Featured Products and Show-Stopping Builds
Alongside the awards, Detroit Speed brought a showcase of products that blend form, function, and fierce capability. From our FN988 Torque-Arm Housings to our award-winning Foxbody SLA kit and everything you love in-between, every piece on display was a testament to precision and performance made right here in the USA.
And what’s a Detroit Speed show stop without a few standout rides? Builders from across the country brought their best, including Empire Fabrication’s Nova fitted with our Quadralink and Hydroformed Subframe, along with a ’67 GTO restomod taming any turn with our Tubular Upper & Lower Control Arms. Each vehicle proved the same thing - no matter what platform, Detroit Speed parts make classic cars drive like modern machines.

Building With A Purpose
The Lost Angels Career Center’s 1968 Camaro turned heads at SEMA 2025 - not just for its raw performance, but for the purpose behind it. Built by at-risk youth learning fabrication, welding, and engineering skills, this Camaro is a rolling example of second chances done right. Underneath the striking widebody sits Detroit Speed performance, highlighted by our Hydroformed Subframe, transforming classic Camaro into modern muscle. It’s community-driven craftsmanship meeting DSE precision - proof that when you invest in people and performance, both go further.

From Show Floor to Your Street
SEMA might last four days, but the momentum from this year’s show is just beginning. The award-winning SLA kit marks another step in our mission to engineer modern handling for classic platforms - and it’s already inspiring a new generation of builds.
Our thanks go out to everyone who stopped by the booth, swapped stories, and got their hands on the parts that make DSE, well… DSE. Your enthusiasm fuels our drive to keep innovating, building, and proving that performance and precision can live under the same hood.
