The Detroit Speed quick ratio steering gearbox provides modern late model steering performance similar to a rack & pinon with easy bolt-in installation. This steering box can replace the GM/Delphi 800 series or GM/Delphi 600 series power steering box. This steering box has a raw unpainted finish. Upgrade the steering on the following vehicles: • 1967-1992 GM F-Body (Camaro/Firebird) • 1964-1981 GM A-Body (Chevelle, El Camino, Skylark, Tempest, Cutlass, LeMans, etc.) • 1968-1979 GM X-Body (Nova, Ventura, Omega, Apollo) • 1978-1988 GM G-Body (Monte Carlo, El Camino, Regal, Bonneville, Grand Prix, etc.) • 1982-2004 S10/S15/Sonoma

• New O-ring style power steering hoses are needed – PN 091202DS recommended
• Steering Gear Pressure and Return Fittings not included – PN 090206LDS (pressure) & 090206SDS (return) recommended
• Raw unpainted finish
• Recommended Pump Flow = 2.48 GPM
• Maximum Operated Pressure = 1500 psi.

Fitment Notes

This DSE steering box can replace the GM/Delphi 800 series power steering gearbox on 1964-1992 GM vehicles. This DSE steering box is a direct replacement for the GM/Delphi 600 series power steering gearbox. A steering shaft kit will be needed for the 1978-1988 G-Body and 1982-1992 Camaro/Firebird applications. Detroit Speed does offer a steering shaft kit (PN: 092519DS). If the car has manual steering, you will need a replacement power steering pitman arm (available from Detroit Speed, PN: 092301DS for 1967-1969 Camaro & 1968-1972 Nova). A 3/4 x 30 spline rag joint is required with this steering box and is available through Detroit Speed (PN: 090205DS). For 1978-81 Camaro/Firebird, you will need a stock replacement 2-3/4" OD rag joint. Detroit Speed hose kit (P/N: 091202DS) can be used with this steering box.
